POPS ON THE RIVER

SATURDAY, JULY 8, 2023

THE GLOW PLAZA FESTIVAL GROUNDS, DOWNTOWN RENO

Gates open at 5:00 pm | Concert at 8:00 pm

From 1961 to 1971, Motown Records had more than 100 songs in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. That kind of success wasn’t by accident – founder Berry Gordy Jr. had a knack for recognizing soul artists with a mainstream pop appeal who would flip the music world on its head. Don’t miss the Reno Phil’s homage to this iconic era as the orchestra performs hits by Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, The Temptations, Diana Ross and more.
